Enamel is a glass-like material and it can break if subjected to a big hit caused by, for example, dropping from a height onto a hard surface. In such case, the damage becomes visible on both the inner and outer surface.

The rim and handle of Muurla’s enamelware is hand-painted and therefore appearances may slightly vary from mug to mug.
