The SIRI rug was born in 2005 when I moved back home to Dalarna, the heart of Sweden. Inspired by the unique traditions of the region and especially the “kurbits” floral painting, I wanted to combine the traditional “kurbits” with a modern design and so Siri was created.
SIRI was long one of our most popular style worldwide. Since it was taken out of production back in 2014 it has been requested frequently throughout the years.
So what better way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary by making a re-launch of this popular rug! The 2019 version of SIRI is inspired by Dalarnas’ mythical green forests, picturesque red cottages and the traditional weaving technique we still use today!SIRI will be released in a limited edition of 6 colours and 3 sizes.

Fashion and function rolled into one… Pappelina’s plastic rugs are produced using true Swedish craftsmanship and designed to brighten up in any living space.
Woven with love on a traditional loom using wooden shuttles in Dalarna, Sweden, the rugs are not only decorative but also stable, durable, soft to walk on, dust repellent and very easy to care for. Although they are machine washable, a quick vacuum or rinse with water will usually do the trick.
Reinforced, welded edges provide extra strength, while a resistance to water ensures Lina Rickardsson's ingenious creation makes a fantastic addition to kitchens, hallways, entrances, office spaces, bathrooms, kids rooms and outdoor spaces.
What's more, the Siri rug is reversible, with the opposite pattern on the other side.
