“Lighting that does not scream for attention and does not take up too much space, but makes a simple statement thanks to its subtle nature: I just couldn’t find it,” explains designer Anita Le Grelle.
“I began experimenting in my workshop with different strips of stoneware clay. I laid one over the over, linked them up. This is how I finally ended up with Louis and Jack, two complementary, yet different wall lamps made of stoneware, each with their own personality.
Following the launch of the Louis and Jack lamps, named after her twin sons, Anita Le Grelle is now bringing a new variations of these wall lamps on the market. The stoneware lamps were created by applying several layers of stoneware clay on top of each other, connecting them to each other. Unlike the horizontal Louis and Jack lamps, the Pierre lamp (named after another of Anita’s sons) is a vertical model.
Not only do they disperse indirect light upwards and downwards, they also emit light via the openings between the connections, each in their own way, each with the same subtlety.
