Known principally for its furniture, Fritz Hansen has been selling lighting since 2015 when it acquired LightYears, a specialist Danish lighting company.

LightYears / Fritz Hansen has two designs that I particularly love in their collection.

First, the Kaiser Idell series, a Bauhaus Classic. And specifically the Luxus Table Lamp which has a wonderful shape, weight and gravitas to it.  There's something 'Film Noir or James Bond' about it - it's incredibly atmospheric on a desk or lounge coffee table.

And second, Caravaggio pendant lights. The design by Cecilie Manz is only 15 or so years old but it really has become a modern classic in that short time.  They direct the light down of course but also allow some light to escape from the top.  Really beautiful and they are very well priced for such stylish well made pendants.
