CH25 | Lounge Chair

Much like many of Hans J. Wegner’s other iconic designs, the CH25 Lounge Chair is ambitious and bold in its sculptural shape.

Wegner’s choice of woven paper cord – a wartime substitution material – for the seat and back was unheard of when this revolutionary piece first saw the light of day in 1950. The durability of the material has never been in doubt in almost 70 years since, however, and the fact this popular chair has remained in continuous production is testament to Wegner’s visionary approach.
